Viluxey City Hotel

Location was convenient. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Didn’t like the Carpeted floor. Didn’t show if the floor is clean or not. Breakfast was included and it was great. Ordered mild food for dinner in two occasions. But they were very spicy and my gastric issues started playing up. They need to deliver according to orders.

This is a simple and comfortable place to stay, featuring a nice rooftop pool and a restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Despite some misunderstandings caused by credit card charges through the bank, the hotel manager, Mr. Kariyawasam remained professional and kind in handling the situation. The staff were also very friendly, and the facilities were modern and well-maintained. Overall, if I were to recommend a place to stay in the area, Viluxey City Hotel would undoubtedly be my top choice.

First, when talking about the location, it was very convenient. There was more than enough parking area. The staff were so polite, friendly and accommodating. The room was also great. It smells wonderful and spotless. The facilities of the room fit the name "Viluxey" perfectly. Even though it said that breakfast was included we didn't expect it to be that much. Breakfast was huge and tasted really good. Overall we had a nice stay at the hotel.

There were two things that we wish that can be fixed. 1. The main door was a little bit warped and the light from outside could go through that. (Room 305) 2. At night, there were instances when the hot water system didn't work.

I chose this hotel again because it's so comfortable. Mr Gomez and the rest of the team at the reception are super friendly and helpful. Very clean room and bathroom. I will come again.

Everything was ok. B'fast was included. But the choices need a bit more work

Restaurant/night club noise can be heard from the rooms. Can be annoying if you want to go to sleep early when you have an early start the next day.

On-site parking was extremely handy for us. The room was very nice and new and very clean with a comfortable large bed. Both aircon and fan were available. The bathroom was also excellent.

We had to ask for toilet paper as only a small amount provided, we were only offered western food for breakfast (probably because we are tourists) but we would have preferred Sri Lankan, the powerpoint for the kettle and iron did not work, reception was not attended when we needed assistance.

The room was very big, with a new and extremely comfortable big bed. Very clean. The hotel opened just some months ago, so everything is new. Delicious food at the restaurant on the rooftop, some of the best curries I had in Sri Lanka. Just a few steps away from market, railway station and supermarkets. Perfect if you want to visit the Pamunuwa Morning Textile market, which was my main purpose for staying here.

Not a very big deal, buy I didn't quite understand why they played loud music in the corridors, it started every morning at 7 am and didn't stop until 11 pm.

This hotel is new and we loved the stay here! The design is very unique and rooms are very big. The rooftop with restaurant is absolutely amazing. If you are looking for very calm safe place with the best food you could eat, come to Viluxey!

The door is thin and our door was even bended so you could see through. Also hot water lasts only few min. Some staff members are well trained and offer the top service, unfortunately most of the staff is not trained at all. Small things add up and get annoying like not taking dishes after meal, room service forgets about your requests, english is poor. I think if the staff was more motivated and tried to think this hotel would get 10!
